About Royal India

When Royal India opened its door in Raleigh in 1990, we were one of the few Indian restaurants in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Since then, Raleigh has seen tremendous growth and many international restaurants have opened in town. We are proud to serve our loyal and new patrons in Raleigh, Cary, Morrisville, Apex, Durham, Chapel Hill and beyond!

Royal India features exquisite North Indian food. Some of the menu items include seafood; chicken, lamb and goat dishes, a variety of vegetarian dishes; Hyderabadi biryanis and chaats. Royal India also offers Tandoori specialties and the finest Indian breads.

Voted one of the best Indian restaurants in the Triangle Area of North Carolina, Royal India is a preferred destination for people not only in North Carolina but around the world. Some of the patrons include world-famous artists, foreign ambassadors and public officials. Royal India also offers sponsorships for local events, non-profit organizations, cultural and religious organizations. Customers can view sports and movies on a big screen. Royal India offers full-service banquet catering for special events, in-door or out-door.

Royal India’s newly decorated interior has the ambiance of the royal palaces of India. Our palatial interiors include portraits of kings and queens of India collected from their private family albums. The interior consists of hand-carved wooden screens imported from India. With our interplay of mirrors, carved screens, arches, portraits of kings and queens of India, vaulted high ceilings, and exotic mango-colored domes with indirect lighting, including pomegranate-colored neon lighting effects, we’re sure you’ll find our new interior as warm and inviting.

Royal India is Raleigh’s oldest Indian restaurant. We are nestled in North East Raleigh’s vibrant neighborhoods of Foxcroft, Oakmont, Ashley Place, New Hope Crossing, Colewood Acres, Brookwood, Lyon,  Montague, Top of the Pines, Colewood Acres, The Frields, Broadlands and many more surrounding neighborhood.
